House, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-5)
Sweet and quiet lakeside house. Comfortably sleeps four or cozy and romantic for one couple. Two adults with three smaller children could work, but five adults is tight. Master bedroom with a comfy queen bed and a multitude of pillows to look out the double set of sliding glass doors. The upstairs loft has two single beds, overlooking the lake, and a day bed.
Multi-level home surrounded by decks and screened in porch. Listen to the stream running alongside the house as you dine in the evening, in the screened in porch, watching the sun set on the lake right in front of you. Or, rock on the front porch, as the sun sets, easy as can be.
Follow the sun throughout the day as you relocate from deck to deck offering privacy to sleep, read and visit with family throughout the day or evenings. Prime spot to watch the lake activity, whether it be the colorful sails from the Fleur De Lis girl's camp across the way, or fisherman making their way around the lake.
Swimming is ideal in this spring fed lake with a rock directly across from our dock. Make this your goal during your stay... an early morning or late afternoon swim to the rock and back. For the toddlers, there is a public beach around the corner with a sandy bottom that stretches out for quite a distance without gaining depth. There is a canoe and two kayaks to enjoy. Bring your own small boat and moor at the dock. Fishing is abundant, the lake is stocked repeatedly throughout the summer.
A summer garden will delight you with constant blooms and scents. Poke around in the garden or simply sit at the picnic table in the midst of peonies, posies and more! Pick some fresh herbs to flavor your meals and teas. The dock has outdoor seating and umbrellas to extend your day into twilight or light the lanterns and enjoy nightfall under the stars.
Keene is only 12 miles away and offers a variety of restaurants, golf, mini-golf, movie theaters and shopping. You'll enjoy all of the New Hampshire Made products and services available. Top rate biking trails and road routes criss-cross the entire region. And, if you are a motorcycle enthusiast, you can't beat the local and regional rides in the area.
Take time to get away, relax and have everything at your fingertips should you choose or need. Otherwise, your option is to simply enjoy the life of a Lake House for your stay!

My Fiance and I rented this lovely house by the lake. We loved that we were able to include our dog on our vacation. The house is in a great location it's away from it all, but still just an easy drive to Keene and MA if you are looking for more to do.

We stayed in Robin's lake house for four nights. This is a place to go for family in a fun, unplugged eclectic environment. The house is fully furnished, with a stocked kitchen, nice sized master bedroom, and a loft which is good for two kids. We used Robin's kayaks and canoe, hung out on the dock, ran around the lake, cooked great dinners, and played hours of boardgames and cards. Cards, games, canoes, kayaks and cooking supplies are all part of the rental. New Hampshire weather can be cool in the late summer. Keene seems like an interesting a fun town, and isn't too far away. We went to the local music festival and ran in the local covered bridge half marathon. Robin's lake house is a good option for an unplugged family getaway in New Hampshire.

My husband and I stayed here during the weekend Hurricane Irene visited the area. We had a wonderful time. The pictures posted don't do the place justice, as it's a very clean cute and well equipped house. It was all we needed for our weekend away. Having a private dock was great, as we laid in the sun, enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat, and just chilled and enjoyed the lake scenery. It is a very quiet area, and we were only awoken by the birds and the sunlight. The owner was so helpful prior to our stay and during our stay, checking in to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed. There was a great collection of music to listen to, as well as movies to watch and magazines and books to read. There are plenty of places in the house to relax including an enclosed area at the front of the house with a view of the lake, as well as a screened in porch on the side of the house. There's a grill on the deck for grilling which is handy. Overall, we had a wonderful time and Irene didn't get in our way. We also drove into Keene to enjoy some of the restaurants and cafes - Keene is very close by and a nice drive. We will tell others to check out this place if they're in the area.

We are from Florida and stayed as part of a NE trip. It was a great place to hang out and enjoy the beautiful view. All the spaces in the house are super comfortable and pleasing to the eye. We especially enjoyed the kitchen, and made almost all of our meals there. The front deck was our favorite place to eat and chat. It was nice to have access to kayaks and a canoe, and swimming off of the dock. Thanks to the owner, Robin, for renting such a lovely little piece of New England!

We had an idylic time at Robin's cabin and were happy when the second week unexpectedly opened up so we could stay longer. It's very quiet during the week, with a little more activity at the boat ramp on weekends. The lake is so beautiful and perfect for swimming and boating and Robin's dock is really nice. We loved the house too, and everything was perfectly prepared for our stay.

My husband and I stayed here in July 2011. The cottage is just as described in the listing. It is a quiet, comfortable , very clean and fully furnished and decorated home next to a beautiful lake on a quiet road in a quiet little town just over the NH border. This is a place to unplug and get away from the stresses of regular life. We enjoyed the canoe and kayaks on the clear lake. There is a paddle boat at the private dock too, but we didn't try it. The front deck is a nice place to catch the morning breeze and the evening sunset with a good book. Robin was wonderful to work with and returned the security deposit promptly. The master bedroom is on the main level and the twin beds are up in the loft. There is a narrow spiral staircase, so I would not recommend that sleeping area for young children or older folks. There is no internet or cable which was perfect for us, but others may care, so you should take note. Also, note that there is a shower only, in case you have little ones who need tub time. We loved our stay and would go back.

The moment we walked into Robin's lake house we felt right at home. There is such a warm, inviting feeling, so unlike many vacation rentals we've stayed at. There were so many things to do, even when it rained. My favorite, the half hour I snuck away to the back screen porch and napped in the hammock to the sound of the neighboring stream, blissful. My husband and son's favorite was fishing in Laurel Lake where they both caught great big trout. From the jog around the lake, to the game of Pictionary with friends in the comfy living room listening to Robin's awesome collection of music, it was the perfect getaway!

We loved the house -- the photos don't do it justice! The closed porch that looks out to the lake is charming and so comfortable. Our boys and I just lived there when not down at the dock. The lake is beautiful and the putter of fishing boats and activity across the way at the girls camp - just added to the charm. We ate on the covered porch every evening. Also - local town of Fitzwilliam was just beautiful. Also nice to walk down to the little beach. We took a long swim out to the middle of the lake -- crystal clear! We had a great time.

What a great time we had at this lake house! It was a perfect location in close proximity to everything we needed to do as a family. The view from the front deck constantly drew us outside. Everything was as advertised and comfortable for our family. The owner was candid and open about the her home and what our expectations should be - and it proved to be a great match. If you are in the area... be sure to stop by Eva's Bakery and Cafe in Troy - amazing baked goods and wonderful lunches! We would highly recommend this rental!

The minute we arrived at the "Charming Laurel Lake" cottage we knew we had made a good choice. All the comforts of home were nestled conveniently outside and inside the cottage. Very private and enough space to hide or enjoy quiet moments alone. Far away enough away from the day to day, but close enough if you crave people, entertainment, etc. The private dock, kayaks and canoe were awesome to have on hand. We swam everyday......from early in the a.m. to late night. The spring fed lake cooled you down perfectly. The welcome reception reception we received was as charming as the house!!! Loved the kitchen, decades of music choices, and the very private master bedroom. We can't wait to go back!! Thanks Robin for a great vacation spot!!! Dianne and Family
